The mission of the Santa’s Workshop project is to assist families, volunteers, friends and donors with hosting holiday parties and activities, while ensuring that each resident finds wrapped gifts under the tree on Christmas morning.

Donation Guidelines
  • Only unrestricted financial donations are accepted during the holiday season.
  • Gift items can be donated for a specific individual.
  • Gifts and donations should be delivered to Community Relations by December 16th; however, it is never too late to participate.
  • All gifts should be new; small in size and delivered boxed but unwrapped so that they can be logged in and inventoried.
  • Surplus donations and financial contributions received during the holiday season will be used throughout the year to benefit individuals of the Lufkin State Supported Living Center. ​
Gift Wrapping Sessions
  • Schedule a gift-wrapping session from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M.
  • Monday through Friday December 2nd through December 20th.
Host a Christmas Party
  • Schedule a party date. Community Relations can help you with all the details.
Distribute & Deliver Gifts
  • Deliver gifts to each of the center homes on December 24th at 9:00 P.M. ​

Sonicare Toothbrushes, DVDs, small portable DVD players, small boom boxes, music CDs, CD players, clock radios, MP3 Players, talking photo albums, talking photo frames, recordable talking greeting cards, board games, music keyboards, wallets, watches, make-up bags, photo albums, art supplies, puzzles, gloves, scarves, umbrellas, snuggies, purses, blankets, flashlights, electronic games, handheld games, light up games, lock boxes, stationery, lotions, hats, house shoes, robes, clothing, digital photo frames, books. 

Financial Donations
Assist the VSC in purchasing personal gifts for each resident.

Secret Shopper
​Receive a personal wish list or gift ideas to shop for a resident. Items should be new and delivered unwrapped by December 16th. 

Gift Drop Off
​Community Relations is located at house 525 on Circle Drive. Gifts can be dropped off there during business hours and at the switchboard after hours. It would be helpful for items to be boxed. Box sizes can include clothing boxes, boot boxes, shoe boxes or smaller.
